Began searching for effective Chinese herbal remedies for atopic dermatitis without the use of any steroids or immunosuppressive agents, in collaboration with Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology Laboratory at Shimane Medical University (currently known as Shimane University Faculty of Medicine).
Succeeded in developing Chinese herbal formulas for atopic dermatitis in 2002.
In November of 2002, non-steroid therapy of Soujikai was featured on BSS' s (Broadcasting System of San-in) program called Teleport Sun-in, which focused on "updates on Chinese herbal remedies for atopic dermatitis," drawing a lot of attention to this therapy.
Published a research paper entitled "The curative effects of the new Chinese prescription drug, Compounded Sophorae radix, in 94 cases of atopic dermatitis" in the January 2004 issue of Inflammation and Regeneration, a medical journal of the Japanese Society of Inflammation and Regeneration.
Opened a clinic "specializing in atopic dermatitis" at Hirano-cho Chuo-ku Osaka City in June of 2005.
